Today for my client “Steve” we ran through the 4 step Corrective exercise process of Inhibit Lengthen Activate Integrate.
We started with stick work on the lower body (Legs) , to Inhibit overactive muscle. We then stretched (active) to lengthen the “short” muscle. The active part of the process was doing floor bridges , activating the underactive glute muscle. Lastly, Ball Wall Squats to Overhead Press was incorporated to Integrate all the joints into one movement. My client said he felt like someone “turned on the lights” in his body!
