When is the best time to stretch?

There are different benefits to stretching in the morning and evening. Stretching first thing in the morning leaves you feeling energized. However, it is best if the temperature of muscles and connective tissue be increased prior to stretching. Using a dynamic stretching technique prior to a strength or cardiovascular workout is believed to have long term effects on mobility. Stretching just before bedtime reduces tension built up during the day.
